Penn State Football Calls For Playoff White Out

Penn State football has called for a White Out for its College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium against SMU on Saturday, December 21. The game, which kicks off at noon, will serve as Penn State’s fourth White Out or White Out-esque affair of the season.

Penn State will host the Mustangs for each program’s first playoff game with the expansion to the 12-team playoffs. Both teams finished their regular season with 11-1 records and fell in tight conference championship games, with Penn State losing 45-37 to Oregon on Saturday night.

Penn State’s official regular season White Out came against Washington this season, but James Franklin also called for “White Out…energy” against Illinois, and the Nittany Lions played in a pseudo-White Out with the Helmet Stripe game against Ohio State.

Penn State will kick off at noon on TNT and Max for its matchup against the Mustangs. The winner will face Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.
