THON revealed its “A Home For Hope” logo Sunday afternoon during its annual Family Carnival in the Multi-Sport Facility.

Surrounded by the words “A Home For Hope” and “Penn State IFC Panhellenic Dance Marathon 2025,” the yellow and purple design features a boy sitting on a bear, looking outwards and reaching towards a bright star. The three stars featured in the design represent Orion’s belt, a symbol of guidance and protection. This year’s logo was created by Kristin Muir, a graphic design major in Penn State’s Class of 2027.

“While the logo doesn’t portray a physical ‘home’ like the theme suggests, this design still resonates with both home and hope in several ways,” Muir said in a release. “Home isn’t always found within a physical place, but instead, home can be found through a community and friendships that offer a sense of comfort and support for one another.”

THON spoke of how it shows the feeling of both home and hope for the future through its mission and community that continues to grow.

“The support system displayed in the logo is the embodiment of THON: a sense of comfort and support from thousands, creating a place for our families to know there are 16,500 people in their corner at all times, sharing this journey together to create the momentum that the future without childhood cancer is within reach, and THON carries this beacon of hope for that future,” THON said in a release. “With a strong support system and thousands united under one common mission, we can all create and foster A Home For Hope.”

The 2025 THON logo will be featured on branding, merchandise, and more. The theme was revealed by the executive committee in September during the annual Penn State Homecoming parade.

“The logo this year acts as a symbol; both of who we strive to be and who we fight for,” the release said. “This place becomes our home; where magic, dreams, and hope are fostered. It represents the hope this community creates, but it also represents the future we are all striving towards.”

THON 2025 is set to kick off Friday, February 21, through Sunday, February 23.
