Former Penn State Football Running Back Pledge Kiandrea Barker Commits To Middle Tennessee State

Former Penn State football three-star running back pledge Kiandrea Barker has committed to Middle Tennessee State, he announced Thursday. Barker committed to Penn State in April 2023 before re-opening his commitment in August.

Barker was the third recruit to commit to Penn State’s recruiting class of 2025 and chose the Nittany Lions over Pitt, Miami, and Purdue. He was the No. 9 running back in the country at the time and was rated as a four-star. The Newport, Arkansas, native’s rating fell to a three-star by the time he decommitted in August.

β€œAt this time, I think it is best for me to decommit from Penn State,” Barker said in August. β€œI am still considering Penn State. However, I think it is best for me to see other places to compare considering I only took one official visit.”

Barker is the No. 62 running back in the country and the No. 8 player out of Arkansas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He had 121 carries, 1178 yards, and 17 touchdowns in 10 games in his senior season at Newport High School, according to his MaxPreps profile.
