Tyler Warren Places Seventh In Heisman Voting

Penn State football tight end Tyler Warren finished seventh in voting for the Heisman Trophy, ESPN announced Friday night.

Warren didn’t finish high enough in Heisman voting to make the trip to make the trip to New York City as a finalist, but he will be honored during during the ceremony as the John Mackey Award winner, given to the nation’s tight end.

Warren, a senior having his best year of college ball, has 88 receptions, 1,062 yards, and six touchdowns through the air to go along with 191 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Warren’s 17 career receiving touchdowns are the most by a tight end in Penn State history.

Warren and Penn State will take the field next against SMU at noon on Saturday, December 21, at Beaver Stadium to the first round of the College Football Playoff.
