Cael Sanderson Earns 250th Career Win Against Wyoming

Following a 54-0 win against Wyoming, Penn State wrestling head coach Cael Sanderson etched another milestone into the record books his 250th career win.

Between his coaching tenures at Iowa State and Penn State, Sanderson earned this win a year after his 100th Big Ten win against Iowa.

Sanderson’s first coaching job came from his alma mater Iowa State, where he was a four-time NCAA Champion at 197 pounds. As a head coach, he held a record of 44-10 from 2006 to 2009.

Sanderson then made the move to Happy Valley in 2009 and has since led the Nittany Lions to 11 NCAA Championships, seven Big Ten Championships, and 206 dual wins. Additionally, the team has not lost a dual since the 2019-20 season.

This season, Penn State is 3-0 with wins against Drexel, Lehigh, and Wyoming.
