Beau Pribula Entering Transfer Portal

Beau Pribula confirmed he will enter the transfer portal in a social media post.
Pribula said the timing of his decision was difficult with the overlapping of the College Football Playoff and appeared to confirm that he will miss Penn State’s game against SMU.
“The current NCAA model creates a challenge for student-athletes. The overlapping CFB playoff and transfer portal timeline has forced me into an impossible decision,” Pribula wrote. “After speaking at length with my family and coaches, it is with a heavy heart that I announce my intentions to enter the transfer portal and explore opportunities elsewhere.”

Penn State football quarterback Beau Pribula is expected to enter the transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Per Pete Nakos of On3, Pribula is not expected to stick around for the College Football Playoff.
Pribula, a redshirt sophomore, has appeared in every game this season. The York, Pennsylvania, native has 275 passing yards for five touchdowns, one interception, and a 74.3% completion rate. On the ground, he has 242 yards and four touchdowns.
Pribula, the backup, notably took over when Drew Allar suffered an injury against Wisconsin. He had 98 passing yards and a touchdown along with an 84.6% completion rate, while he also had 28 rushing yards in a 28-13 victory in Madison.
The 6’2″, 206-pound Pribula’s reported decision comes just days before Penn State hosts SMU at noon on Saturday in the first round of the playoffs. True freshman Ethan Grunkemeyer would likely become the Nittany Lions’ backup quarterback if Pribula enters the portal before the game.
If confirmed, Pribula would be the fourth Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal this cycle, joining defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham, tight end Jerry Cross, and wide receiver Feyisayo Oluleye.
