Your Official Penn State-SMU College Football Playoff Drinking Game

The first-ever College Football Playoff game hosted in Happy Valley is almost here, folks. Just one more sleep until history is made.

While the Nittany Lions are gearing up as 8.5-point favorites against the Mustangs, this playoff matchup in Beaver Stadium will hopefully be one for the books. It’s a moment Penn State fans have been dreaming of, giving us every reason to celebrate with a drink in hand.

Whether you’re braving the cold at Beaver Stadium, enjoying the game from the comfort of your couch, or watching at a packed bar, it’s time to get into your White Out gear and crack open a cold one!

Without further ado, let’s get drinking.

  • Start your morning off right by taking a shot or two.
  • Take another if you’re up before 7 a.m.
  • Swing back a shot and chug a brew if you slept through tailgating.
  • Now, take another. It’s the playoffs! For the first. time. ever.
  • Take a sip for every layer you have on. Stay warm out there, folks!
  • Have a sip if you have tickets in the student section but aren’t a student.
  • If someone mentions Beau Pribula entering the transfer portal, chug the rest of your drink. We’ll miss you, Beau!
  • Chug your drink for five seconds if you’re a senior and this is your last game in the stadium as a student.
  • Have a sip if you took the long trip to Happy Valley for the game.
  • Take a sip every time you see someone not wearing white.
  • Take a nice, long sip when the Nittany Lions enter the field. Never gets old.
  • If Penn State wins the coin toss, take a shot.
  • If SMU wins it, take two.
  • Take a sip every time Abdul Carter gets a sack.
  • Shotgun your drink if Kaytron Allen scores a touchdown.
  • Take a sip every time Penn State scores. Let’s hope the sips keep coming.
  • Finish your drink during halftime.
  • Take a sip every time Tyler Warren lines up in a position other than tight end.
  • Take a shot if Warren scores a touchdown.
  • For every famous Penn Stater that makes an appearance, take a sip.
  • If Penn State secures the win, celebrate by drinking all night long. On to the next!
  • If the Nittany Lions fumble, sulk by drinking all night long.

As always, have fun, stay safe, and drink responsibly!
