Penn State Athletics Publishes Offseason Construction Simulation

On the day of the demolition of Beaver Stadium’s press box, Penn State Athletics posted a video to YouTube highlighting the work to be done to Beaver Stadium’s West end over the offseason.

With the press box lying in rubble at the foot of the stadium, crews are set to build three temporary stands and a temporary press box in its stead. The temporary press box, according to the renderings, appears significantly smaller than the one used previously at the stadium.

At present, it’s unclear what the stadium’s capacity will be with the temporary stands.

Penn State’s press box demolition and replacement comes as part of $700 million renovations to the entire stadium. The press box was felled in a ceremony on Saturday, January 4.
