Three-Star Transfer Offensive Lineman TJ Shanahan Jr. Commits To Penn State Football
Three-star transfer offensive lineman TJ Shanahan Jr. has committed to Penn State football, he announced Friday. Shanahan, who has three years of eligibility remaining, came to Penn State from Texas A&M.
Shanahan played in nine games this year for the Aggies, burning his redshirt. He was rated as the No. 300 overall player and No. 28 interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal, per 247Sports.
As a high school recruit, Shanahan was a four-star prospect — the No. 8 interior offensive lineman in the country, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was offered by Penn State and recruited by offensive line coach Phil Trautwein, but never took an official visit.
Shanahan joined wide receivers Devonte Ross and Kyron Hudson and former Aggie edge rusher Enai White as transfers into the Nittany Lions. Penn State lost quarterback Beau Pribula, tight end Jerry Cross, and defensive end TA Cunningham to the portal.
