Report: Trey Wallace Expected To Enter Transfer Portal

Penn State football wide receiver Trey Wallace is expected to enter the transfer portal, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. The redshirt junior has one year of eligibility remaining.

Wallace began his career with Penn State in 2021 where he appeared in three games but didn’t record a stat during his true freshman season. The receiver appeared in 13 games during the 2022 season and caught 19 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown with a long of 48 yards.

The Montgomery, Alabama, native spent the 2023 season on and off the injury report and only played in eight games. He posted a nearly identical stat line last year, though, catching 19 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown during his injury-riddled season.

After the departure of KeAndre Lambert-Smith last year, Wallace was touted to become the top receiver for the 2024 season. In 15 games this year, Wallace led the wide receiver room with 46 receptions for 720 yards and four touchdowns.

Wallace will be the seventh Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal, joining Feyisayo OluleyeJerry CrossT.A. Cunningham, Cam Miller, Omari Evans, and Beau Pribula.
