Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Trey Wallace Transfers To Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin strikes again.

Former Penn State football wide receiver Trey Wallace has transferred to Ole Miss, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Wallace has one year of eligibility remaining and left Penn State as its top wideout.

Wallace led a Penn State wide receiver room that struggled during much of the 2024 season. Against Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl, no Nittany Lion wideout registered a catch.

Wallace began his career with Penn State in 2021, appearing in three games, but he didn’t record a stat during his true freshman season. Wallace appeared in 13 games during the 2022 season and caught 19 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown with a long of 48 yards.

Wallace struggled with injuries during the 2023 season and played in eight games. He posted 19 catches for 228 yards and a touchdown. After the departure of KeAndre Lambert-Smith last year, Wallace was touted to become the top receiver for the 2024 season. In 15 games, Wallace led the wide receiver room with 46 receptions for 720 yards and four touchdowns.

Wallace was one of several notable names to leave the Nittany Lions, including quarterback Beau Pribula and wide receiver Omari Evans.
