Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Lands Four USA Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans

Penn State men’s lacrosse standouts Jack Fracyon, Matt Traynor, Alex Ross, and Jack Aimone were named to USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American teams, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Fracyon and Traynor led the way for the Nittany Lions, both making second-team All-American.

Fracyon was one of the nation’s best goalies in 2024, recording a .571 save percentage and a GAA of 9.89. The senior was named a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American last season.

Traynor also shined throughout 2024 and is expected to play an even larger role this season in the absence of TJ Malone. The attackman had 45 goals and seven assists last season but should see an increase in points in the quarterback role.

Ross also comes into the season with high expectations, receiving USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American honors.

Ross stepped up big in 2024 with injuries to Kevin Parnham and Jack Posey early in the season. One of the best man-on-man defenders in the country will get to prove himself this year against the Big Ten’s best.

Rutgers transfer Aimone also made the USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American team. The midfielder scored 20 goals last season for the Scarlet Knights. His role this year will be as important as ever in the revitalized Penn State midfield.
