Penn State Classes Postponed Until Noon Thursday At University Park

Penn State has postponed its classes until noon on Thursday at University Park due to inclement weather. State College is expecting up to an inch of snow and sleet from Wednesday night into Thursday morning, according to AccuWeather.

All University Park classes, activities, and work are canceled from 5 a.m. through noon. However, employees performing essential duties are expected to report for work. Professors may offer asynchronous, remote work for classes that were canceled. Remote work may not be synchronous outside of extenuating circumstances.

For updates on further delays or cancelations, students, faculty, and staff should sign up for PSUAlerts. The same information can be found on Facebook and Twitter for parents and community members, too.

State College school district also announced plans to close completely on Thursday.
