Former Penn State Women’s Soccer Defender Mieke Schiemann Earns Houston Dash Camp Invite

Former Penn State women’s soccer defender Mieke Schiemann has been invited to train with the Houston Dash at their preseason camp.

Born in Berlin, Germany, Schiemann played 87 games and recorded 28 points, including 12 goals and nine assists. While Schiemann was considered one of Penn State’s better players in 2024, she wasn’t one of five Nittany Lions selected in the 2024 NWSL Draft.

Should Schiemann earn a contract with the Dash, her season will kick off on March 14 against the Washington Spirit.
