Your Updated Guide To State College Happy Hours

What’s Happy Valley without happy hours? Penn State is known for having plenty of bar options for those who want to unwind with a drink or two. However, drinks can get expensive and as college students, it’s much wiser to go to bars during their happy hours.

A few years back, we compiled downtown State College’s bar specials. However, in the years that have passed, many of those bars have changed their specials or disappeared entirely. With that in mind, it was time for an updated list.

Each bar downtown has its own unique set of happy hours, all with their own deals and specials. So, if you don’t know where to start, we’ve got you covered!

Champs Downtown

Starting with a heavy hitter, Champs offers consistent happy hours from 10 p.m. to midnight every day of the week aside from Sunday. On Thursdays, happy hour is extended by one hour, starting at 9 p.m. instead of 10 p.m.

This happy hour deal includes half-priced mixed drinks and beers throughout the week as well as $2 dirty sprites on Thursdays. There are also additional deals such as 50-cent wings from 4 to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Monday, $1 KLYR cans on Tuesday, and $3 brunch boxes on Sunday
