Running Backs Coach Ja’Juan Seider No Longer With Penn State Football

Former Penn State football running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider is officially no longer with the program, James Franklin announced Tuesday. Seider is set to take the same job at Notre Dame, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Seider spent six seasons with the Nittany Lions, primarily as the running backs coach but held multiple positions during that time like assistant head coach and co-offensive coordinator.

Seider also had a key role in recruiting. He helped sign the likes of Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, Tony Rojas, Quinton Martin Jr., Zane Durant, and Beau Pribula, according to 247Sports.

Prior to Penn State, Seider was the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida for one season, the running backs coach at his alma mater West Virginia for four seasons, and the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Marshall for three seasons.

Seider leaves behind perhaps the best running back duo in the country. Singleton and Allen became the program’s first tandem to each rush for 1,000 yards in a season and combined for 2,207 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. Singleton was also the team’s fourth-leading receiver with 41 catches, 375 yards, and five touchdowns.
