Sander Sahaydak No Longer With Penn State Football

Penn State football kicker Sander Sahaydak is no longer listed on the program’s roster as of Thursday night, signaling a departure from the team.

Sahaydak had a rocky career at Penn State. After committing to the Nittany Lions as a three-star in the recruiting class of 2021, he made his first career start against West Virginia in the first game of the 2023 season where he went 0-for-2 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after attempts. He was then benched for Alex Felkins and did not appear in a game for the rest of the season.

Sahaydak was named the starter again to start the 2024 season and was 2-for-5 on field goal attempts and 17-for-17 on point-afters before being benched for redshirt freshman Ryan Barker against Illinois in September.

Sahaydak will have one more year of eligibility and is unknown if he intends to enter the transfer portal.
