Penn State Hoops To Auction Off Mike Rhoades’ Custom THON AF1s

Penn State men’s basketball is set to auction off the custom Air Force 1s that head coach Mike Rhoades will be wearing throughout the Nittany Lions’ game against Washington on Saturday, February 15.

Starting Friday, folks can place a bid on the game-worn shoes. All proceeds raised from the auction will be donated to THON on behalf of Penn State Athletics, Penn State men’s basketball, and Rhoades.

The custom Air Force 1s design features the Nittany Lion forming a diamond with its hands, representing both THON and Four Diamonds. The shoe also displays the words “THON” and the name “Jack.”

On the other shoe, the Nittany Lion can be found mid-action shot in a Pen State jersey holding a basketball. A yellow ribbon sits towards the back end of the shoe with the words “Marlowe” sitting on the front of the shoe.

The starting bid for the Air Forces is $100, and the auction will close at noon on Friday, February 21.

Fans and supporters can see these kicks in action at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, at the Bryce Jordan Center and bid on them here.
