Podward State: Season 12, Episode 1 Ft. Ezra Nanes

On the season 12 premiere of Podward State, hosts Hailey Stutzman, Charlie Pegler, and Keeley Lamm were joined by State College Mayor Ezra Nanes. Nanes, the pod’s first-ever, three-time Friend of the Show, joined Podward State in the studio to kick off the season.

To get the episode rolling, Ryan Smith and Ally Eaton chatted about State College headlines including Parker McCollum’s concert at the Bryce Jordan Center, new Lululemon belt bags benefitting THON, and Penn State men’s gymnastics alumnus Stephen Nedoroscik dancing the night away in “Dancing with the Stars: Live!”

Then, in the interview, Nanes discussed his reelection campaign, his title as Pennsylvania’s only “Iron Mayor,” why State College is the best college town in America, and more.

After that, Slaughter Joseph and Michael Siroty caught up on all things Penn State Athletics.

Podward State is an Onward State-produced podcast that releases weekly episodes on Spotify and YouTube during Penn State’s fall and spring semesters. Each episode features discussions with guests about all things Penn State, including sports, news, student life, entertainment, and more.
