Power Ranking THON 2025 Line Dance Lyrics

THON 2025 is officially underway after over 700 dancers took a stand at 6 p.m. Friday.

Shortly after the 46-hour dance marathon officially began, the first line dance hit. Here are our power rankings of the 2025 line dance lyrics.

No. 10: Father-son NBA // diss tracks dropping every day

LeBron James was joined on the Los Angeles Lakers by his son Bronny to make history in the NBA, while music icons Drake and Kendrick Lamar went back and forth with diss tracks. This line quickly turns into a dance break to Lamar’s hit “Not Like Us,” and its energy had to bring it to the top 10.

No. 9: TikTok, can’t be found // Guess whose screen times going down?

We all know about the short-lived ban of TikTok, and many Penn State students were forced off their phones for just one night. However, it made a quick return, so be sure to check out @onwardstate on TikTok for all sorts of THON content!

No. 8: Pommel horse to ballroom host // Nikki Glaser epic roast

Pommel horse guy, AKA Stephen Nedoroscik, needed a mention in this year’s line dance. After rising to fame in the 2024 Paris Olympics, he went on to be on “Dancing With the Stars” and host its live show, which made a stop at the Bryce Jordan Center. Secondly, Nikki Glaser flamed Tom Brady and had to be included this year, so it hits the No. 8.

No. 7: One day dance in celebration // let’s get going Nittany Nation

Not only does this lyric rhyme perfectly, but its message will continue to remind dancers what they’re on the floor for. One day dancing in celebration is the mission of THON, but for now, Nittany Nation will continue to ring hope throughout the Bryce Jordan Center.

No. 6: PSU, eco leader // “When It Rains It Pours” in Beaver

The first part of this lyric shows off Penn State’s sustainability mission, and the second discusses the first concert in Beaver Stadium in years, which featured Luke Combs and his hit song “When It Rains It Pours.” We love the two vastly different topics shown off in this lyric.

No. 5: Coach Katie makes history // point, set, match – VICTORY!!

Katie Schumacher-Cawley led Penn State women’s volleyball to a national title while battling breast cancer and became the first female head coach to win a women’s volleyball NCAA championship. It was only right that this historic season was included in the line dance, and its message brings it to the No. 5 ranking.

No. 4: Through our passion hope is grown // stars will always guide us home

This is the closing line to the line dance, and it could not be more true. As always, hope is a major theme during THON Weekend, so it had to be included in the line dance. Plus, all the yellow on the floor makes us think of stars.

No. 3: Meee! Four Seasons room // Costco guys, bring the boom

Who wants to go to the Bryce Jordan Center this weekend? Meee! Or the Four Seasons in Orlando. This viral video, along with AJ and Big Justice taking over TikTok, is in the No. 3 slot for this line dance. Time to bring the boom all weekend.

No. 2: Playoff run starts in town // Saquon hurdles to first down

Penn State made history by hosting a College Football Playoff game in the first round against SMU, while former running back Saquon Barkley led the Eagles to a Super Bowl, making all sorts of highlight plays, including a backward hurdle. This football-themed lyric gets our No. 2 spot this year.

No. 1: Four Diamonds, every day// All together – FTK

The best lyric goes to this one, for obvious reasons. Let’s dance all For The Kids, Penn State!
