Penn State Things That Are Longer Than The Water Fountain Lines At THON 2025

There are more people trying to save some money than you might expect during THON Weekend, mainly in the form of reusable water bottles. This leads to possibly the most dreaded part of THON Weekend, the unavoidable long lines for the water fountains almost all of the time. Sometimes the lines are deceptively short until you a little closer and notice that every person in line has a minimum of three empty water bottles in their hands.

It isn’t an option to not hydrate throughout the weekend. This leaves you with the near-impossible decision of just buying an overpriced plastic bottle of water or waiting in one of those dreaded lines, so we decided to come up with some Penn State things you can compare the wait to.

Riding The Bloop The Entire Way Around Campus During A Class Change

If we take into consideration the influx of people who have been riding the buses more due to the weather, I can almost guarantee that you would have filled up your water bottle already before returning to the bus stop you started at on the Bloop. If you are truly curious, track a bus on your phone while you’re standing in the water fountain line.

Walking From The Lion’s Den To East Halls At 2 a.m.

Let’s be honest, everyone has been here and done that. Being cheap college kids, why would we pay for an Uber if we are capable of walking? This may not be a night you necessarily remember the timing of, but I bet it took you longer than waiting to fill your water bottle at THON.

The Line At Beaver Stadium Gate A, 12 Minutes Before Kickoff

The likelihood of a student witnessing this at some point during their time at Penn State has got to be at least 95%. If you have been there, you know the flooding of Gate A is unreal. It certainly takes longer to get through Gate A at Beaver than it does to fill your water bottle. At least the water bottle line is organized and civil.

The Wait For Your Starbucks Order At The HUB

No matter how early in advance you try to place your mobile order at the Starbucks in the HUB, it always seems like it takes forever to actually get the drink in your hand. If Starbucks coffee is worth waiting so long for, water should be too during THON Weekend.

THON Edition: The Wait For The Total Reveal

The anticipation leading up to the final total reveal begins before the weekend even commences. With the wait for the total reveal being longer than THON Weekend itself, the wait to fill up your water bottle a few times seems minor in comparison.
