While You Were Sleeping: What Happened Overnight At THON 2025

We understand — you wanted to sleep to save your body for Saturday morning and beyond.
For those who caught some shuteye during the overnight hours of THON 2025, we have you covered with a recap of everything that went down.
So. Many. Line. Dances.
By our count, Dancer Relations captains brought the boom to the Bryce Jordan Center 10 times. We recommend brushing up on the line dance lyrics here so you don’t fall too far behind your friends who stayed.
A Wide Range Of Musical Performances
Based out of Washington, D.C., the cover band Lights Out By 8 came on stage at 12:45 a.m. and rocked the Bryce Jordan Center, playing hit rock songs such as “All The Small Things” by blink-182 and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” by Shania Twain.
They performed more than your typical rock songs, however, as the band played renditions of “Hot To Go!” by Chappell Roan and “Umbrella” by Rihanna with a rock twist. Talk about range!
Next up at 3:30 a.m. was DJ Ryan Hazan, representing Phi Gamma Nu. He got the Bryce Jordan Center moving and grooving with numerous club favorites.
Just before the 5 a.m. hour, a group of college-aged students and native Pennsylvanians electrified the Bryce Jordan Center with their cover band Slamb. The group played smash hits like ‘Revival’ by Zach Bryan and ‘Dancing Queen’ by ABBA.
Slides Of Strength
At 2:30 a.m., OPPerations conducted its first Slides of Strength event, a time when dancers slide on a black mat doused in baby powder for a quick massage. This was sure to relieve some tight calves.
Motivation Hour
At the 2 a.m. hour, a new addition to THON 2025 was announced. This was the first of four “motivation hours” set to happen throughout the weekend. The hour featured numerous motivational videos from different THON events, including one from runners of the THON 5k.
Spectator Car Race
The yearly tradition was back and better than ever for THON 2025, and the annual spectator car race was as exciting as any normal car race. It was a close one, but the blue car took home this year’s title. Get ’em next time, red car.
Committee Breaks
At 3:30 a.m., HOSpitality came on stage for a minute to remind everyone in attendance to stay hydrated and drink water, and shortly after, OPPerations followed with its second garbage game of the evening. Make sure to listen to them, folks!
Stage Games
Overnight, four games took place on the stage with different representatives from numerous organizations participating. From well-known favorites like “Family Feud” and “Jeopardy” to dissecting human stage patterns, THON kept the mood light with these games.
