Class Of 2026 Three-Star Wide Receiver Jerquaden Guilford Decommits From Penn State Football

Class of 2026 three-star wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford has decommitted from Penn State football, he announced Friday. Guilford committed to the Nittany Lions in December 2024.

“I want to take the time to thoroughly evaluate my options and ensure that the school I choose aligns with the values my family and I hold,” Guilford wrote in a statement. With the new landscape of college recruiting, I want to make a decision that is as close to perfect as possible for my future.”

In nine games for Fort Wayne Northrop, Guilford recorded 35 catches for 556 yards and three touchdowns, including one catch for 96 yards, per his MaxPreps profile. He also took seven kickoff returns for 189 yards total.

Guilford became the first player to decommit from the Nittany Lions’ recruiting class of 2026. The Nittany Lions have eight players left in the group, led by safety Matt Seig, quarterback Troy Huhn, and running back Messiah Mickens, who is considering other programs in the wake of Ja’Juan Seider’s departure.
