Your Official State Patty’s Drinking Game

The time has come, folks. Once again, THON has come and gone, and spring break is right around the corner. That does not mean filler weekends though at Penn State. That means State Patty’s Weekend.

While I am sure no one needs help getting ready to drink, if you need a little something to keep you going through this long weekend, we made a drinking game just for you.

Remember, stay safe and drink plenty of water when you get the chance. Oh, yeah, and have fun.

  • If you woke up today, take a shot. Put it in your coffee if you need. We don’t care, just get it down.
  • If you are about to leave to start your day’s adventure, chug for three seconds.
  • If you see someone getting arrested before noon, take two shots. If it’s after noon, just take one.
  • If you see a car questionably parked on the way to a bar, take a deep swig of your drink.
  • Drink when you spot someone wearing more than three shades of green. We’re talking full-on leprechaun camouflage here.
  • Take a sip for every person wearing a “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” shirt. Give ’em a smooch, too.
  • If you’re borderline blacked out before the sun sets, take a sip of water, maybe a nap, then rally.
  • Take a sip every time you see green. Drink up, you leprechaun.
  • For every long bar line you wait in, chug your drink for three seconds.
  • If someone is wearing the same shirt you have on, take a long drink. I mean there are only so many options downtown.
  • For every cop car that you see, take a little sip facing the other way.
  • If you find yourself randomly smiling throughout the day, take a shot. Celebrate, it’s time to be happy.
  • If you can’t wait for spring break, put the drink down and take a second to appreciate where you are. Then pick it up and finish it.

Please remember to drink responsibly and always have a good time.
