Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Drops To No. 6 In Inside Lacrosse Poll

After suffering a 13-9 loss to Ohio State Sunday night, Penn State men’s lacrosse slid to No. 6 in the latest Inside Lacrosse poll.

The drop came after the Nittany Lions were ranked No. 2 in last week’s poll before falling to the Buckeyes, who went from No. 9 to No. 3.

Also in the Big Ten, Maryland is ranked No. 2, Johns Hopkins is No. 14, and Michigan is No. 19. Rutgers also received votes.

Ethan Long, Luke Walstrum, and Liam Matthews all shined in the loss, scoring two goals each. However, Penn State was outscored 8-4 in the final two quarters after being tied 5-5 at halftime.

The Nittany Lions will return at noon on Saturday, March 29 when they travel to Maryland. The game will be played at SECU Stadium and will be televised on Big Ten Network.
