Report: Abdul Carter Will Not Work Out At Penn State Pro Day

Former Penn State football defensive end Abdul Carter will not work out during the Nittany Lions’ pro day on Friday, according to ESPN senior insider Adam Schefter.

The Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year is still rehabbing from the shoulder injury that he suffered in Penn State’s playoff game against Boise State in late December.

In late February, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Carter would be slated to participate at Penn State’s Pro Day after missing the NFL Combine with an injury. Rapoport also said Carter had opted out of receiving surgery on a stress fracture in his right foot.

Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Carter will be able to participate in workouts with individual NFL teams sometime in mid-April.

Carter is projected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which will be held at Lambeau Field on Thursday, April 24, through Saturday, April 26.
