Where Do Nittany Lions Land In Latest 2025 NFL Mock Drafts?

The NFL draft is only three weeks away.

Numerous Nittany Lions are hoping to hear their names called in Green Bay, Wisconsin, later this month. With the NFL scouting combine and Penn State’s Pro Day behind us, let’s take a look at where Nittany Lions end up in this year’s NFL Draft.

Josh Edwards (CBS Sports)

In his three-round mock draft, Josh Edwards offers potential landing spots to three Nittany Lions. With the second overall selection, Edwards has the Cleveland Browns selecting Abdul Carter. The Philadelphia native has been in contact with the franchise in recent weeks. The Nittany Lion could very well be headed to Cleveland at the end of the month to terrorize quarterbacks alongside All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett.

Edwards has the Los Angeles Chargers selecting Tyler Warren with the No. 22 overall pick, which has become an increasingly popular projection.

“Jim Harbaugh plucks the second tight end off the board as Tyler Warren joins the Chargers’ cause. Warren will be expected to contribute in the run game in addition to his responsibilities as a pass catcher,” Edwards said.

The third Nittany Lion selected in this mock draft is KJ Winston, who would be chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles with the No. 64 pick. The Super Bowl LIX champions would fill a hole at the safety position after trading away CJ Gardner-Johnson in early March.

Lance Zierlein (NFL Network)

Lance Zierlein also believes Carter will be headed to Cleveland, he has the Browns taking the Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Year at No. 2 in his latest mock draft.

“I know the Browns need a quarterback, but Andrew Berry is an analytics-driven GM and seems to me much more likely to see Carter or Travis Hunter as the pick here than one of the quarterbacks beyond Ward,” Zierlein said.

Zierlein has Warren landing with the Indianapolis Colts at the No. 14 selection.

“The Colts could use a big target at tight end with the mindset to fit in as a run blocker. Warren is a safe pick, but he’s not a lock here,” Zierlien said.

Diante Lee (The Ringer)

Diante Lee’s mock draft has Abdul Carter landing with the New England Patriots, who hold the No. 4 selection in this year’s NFL draft.

“Carter has the highest ceiling of any player in this class, and even though his repertoire of pass-rush moves isn’t even complete yet, his explosiveness and relentless approach to getting after the quarterback should translate well in the pros,” Lee said.

Lee also believes Warren will land in Indianapolis at No. 14 and has him as the first tight end taken off the board, ahead of Michigan’s Coleston Loveland.

“Tyler Warren doesn’t just fill a need for playmaking at tight end; he proved last season that he can handle a high-target workload, and he created just as much value after the catch as most of the top receivers in the class,” Lee said.

Pro Football Focus

Carter lands in Cleveland in PFF’s latest mock draft, but Warren lands with the New Orleans Saints at the No. 9 spot.

“The Saints’ cap situation has the team in a tricky position for 2025, and to the fans’ dismay, they don’t even get their top choice in this mock draft. Warren is still a fantastic prospect, with the Penn State offense running through him in 2024, as evidenced by his 30.2% threat rate (target total divided by routes run),” PFF said.
