Let’s Taco Bout It: Tuesday, April 8

From 6 to 8:30 p.m., University Health Services and the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity will come together to discuss sexual health, raise awareness, and showcase campus organizations. The event will be held in the Lion’s Lair, located in the HUB. And yes, there will be tacos.

Hoping to build tools for empowerment, this transformative self-defense class is designed specifically for students. It will be in the HUB in room 223 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Registration is required for this event.

Super Gay 5K: Saturday, April 12

At 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity will host its annual Super Gay 5k in front of the HUB. Participants can run or walk along the route across campus to show their solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community at Penn State. Registration is also required for this event.

Friday, April 25: Lavender Recognition

Lavender Recognition is an annual celebration that recognizes the achievements and contributions of graduating students who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The recognition will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 25, and includes scholarships, speeches, and awards. It will be hosted in Alumni Hall.

Get Outside for Pride: Sunday, April 27

A collaboration between Campus Recreation-Outdoor Adventures and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), this event hopes to help students get outside and take a break from the stress through mindful activities.

Registration is required, and transportation to Penn State’s Stone Valley Recreational Area will be provided.

Pride Prom – Masquerade: Wednesday, April 30

From 6 to 10 p.m. on April 30, the annual Penn State Pride Prom will be held in the Alumni Hall.

This event serves as a chance for Penn State students who didn’t feel like they could be their authentic selves at their high school prom to experience prom in a way that is comfortable to them. This year’s theme is masquerade.
