Your Guide To Welcome Week At Penn State Fall 2026

Welcome back, folks!

Being back on campus, or even being on campus for the first time, may feel overwhelming, but the first week has plenty of stress relievers and fun activities planned for everyone.

Here’s a comprehensive list of all the events that Penn State has to offer for Welcome Week:

Wednesday, August 26

There will be a tie-dye and de-stress event on the HUB lawn from noon to 2 p.m., where students can tie-dye a canvas bag and keep it for free.

Additionally, there will be an encore of Results Will Vary* in the Schwab Auditorium at 8 p.m.

Thursday, August 27

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., over 40 clubs and organizations affiliated with the College of Agricultural Sciences will host an involvement fair on the Berkey Creamery Lawn.

The fair is open to all Penn State students, regardless of major. Students who want to further their interests in topics such as animals, business, education, community, food, health, environment, natural resources, sustainability, plants, and green industry are encouraged to attend.

The Penn State Student Farm will host a “Campus Food System Kick-Off” from 6 to 8 p.m., showcasing a variety of opportunities to get involved in food systems, agriculture, nutrition, and sustainability initiatives at Penn State.

There will also be a pizza and bingo night, called “Pizzaingo night”, hosted for change-of-campus and transfer students in the HUB’s Lion’s Lair starting at 7 p.m.

This event requires students to bring their Mobile ID+ and has a limited number of spots available. You can RSVP here.

Friday, August 28

LightsUP, hosted by the Penn State Student Programming Association Concerts Committee and Movin’ On, is having its sixth annual festival on the HUB Lawn, featuring DJ Diesel, also known as Shaquille O’Neal, and openers “Between Friends”.

The event is open to all Penn State students. There will be special events and organization tabling starting at 5 p.m., with student performers to follow at 6 p.m. The main concert is set to start at 7 p.m.
