Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Faceoff Specialist Reid Gills Named To USILA National Team Of The Week

Penn State men’s lacrosse faceoff specialist Reid Gills was named to the USILA National Team of the Week, the program announced Thursday.

No. 8 Penn State defeated No. 13 Michigan 11-8 on Sunday. Gills stepped up when the team needed him most, going eight for nine from the faceoff line and adding two ground balls. His dominance allowed the Nittany Lions to go on a 5-1 run in the fourth quarter and control the rest of the game.

Gills and the rest of the Nittany Lions take on No. 19 Johns Hopkins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Panzer Stadium. The two sides went to overtime last season, with the Blue Jays taking the win.
