Report: Former Penn State Football Linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson Transfers To USC

Former Penn State football linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson has committed to transfer to USC, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

While with Penn State, Robinson played in 14 games last season, recording 11 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a half-sack. He also earned the coaching staff’s Special Teams Player of the Game for his performance against West Virginia.

Robinson’s only appearance in 2023 came against UMass, where the linebacker had two tackles.

The 6’3″ 231-pounder is a three-star transfer prospect, per 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 229 player available in the country. As a high school recruit, the same rankings had Robinson as a four-star, the No. 29 edge in the country, and the No. 4 player in Pennsylvania.

With the loss of Kobe King to the NFL Draft, Robinson had a chance at an advanced role this season, some even thought he might become the starting mike linebacker. Now, those roles will fall to Tony Rojas, Dom Deluca, Anthony Speca, and others.
