Report: Former Penn State Football Gaurd JB Nelson Transfers To Kansas State

Former Penn State football guard JB Nelson has committed to transfer to Kansas State, per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Nelson played in all 16 of the Nittany Lions’ games in 2024 as a rotational player. The 6’5″ 326-pounder sat behind guards Vega Ioane and Sal Wormley last season, and looked to become a starter this year, a role that most likely will go to sophomore Cooper Cousins now.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Nelson is a three-star transfer and the No. 267 player available. He visited Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Syracuse before making his decision.
