Penn State Women’s Volleyball To Face Arizona State & TCU In Pittsburgh

Penn State women’s volleyball will compete in the State Farm Volleyball Showcase against Arizona State and TCU early next season, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

The event will be held at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on August 31 and September 1. Pitt is also set to play, rounding out the four-team field.

The Nittany Lions also announced they’ll open their season in the AVCA First Serve Challenge against Creighton and Kansas the week prior.

Coming off a national championship, Penn State’s new team took the floor three weeks ago in a 3-2 spring match loss to Pitt, but Ohio State transfer Emmi Sellman went for 27 kills.

Along with Sellman, the blue and white will feature a group of five freshmen and Saint Louis transfer Addie Lyon after losing key players Jess Mruzik, Camryn Hannah, and Taylor Trammell from last year’s squad.
