State College Roads Closed After Tuesday Night Storms

Several State College roads remain closed on Wednesday morning after storms on Tuesday night knocked down trees and power lines, the borough announced.

The following roads are shut down as of Wednesday morning.

  • Westerly Parkway is closed between South Sparks Street and O’Bryan Lane
  • Easterly Parkway is closed between South Pugh Street and Old Boalsburg Road
  • The 1000 Block of South Pugh Street is closed
  • The 400 Block of Orlando Avenue is closed
  • One lane of 319 West Fairmount Avenue is closed
  • The 600 Block of Berry Alley is closed
  • Nimitz Avenue and Penfield Road are closed

Many roads are closed due to downed trees, power lines, and poles. Should folks come across a downed or low-hanging power line, they should assume it is active and charged. Remain at least 30 feet away — more if the line is tangled — and call 911 to report the downed line.
