Guard Reggie Grodin Commits To Penn State Hoops

Class of 2025 guard Reggie Grodin announced his commitment to Penn State men’s basketball on Wednesday.

The Larchmont, New York, native does not warrant a rating by any of the recruiting services. Grodin played his high school basketball at The Newman School in Boston where he played in 40 games, averaging 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Grodin was originally set to play for Fordham in November but renounced his commitment on April 28. Other than Fordham, he had offers from George Washington, Colgate, Elon, Cornell, and Stony Brook. He also competed for the U.S. U16 team at the 2022 Maccabi Games where he earned the gold medal.

He joins Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class that includes the likes of four-star guard Kayden Mingo, three-star forward Mason Blackwood, three-star center Justin Hauser, and Croatian center Ivan Juric.
