Report: Croatian Center Ivan Juric Commits To Penn State Hoops

It’s been a quiet offseason for Mike Rhoades and Penn State men’s basketball, but they came one step closer to filling out their 2025-26 roster on Tuesday, landing a commitment from Croatian center Ivan Juric, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Juric, unranked on 247Sports, reportedly also had interest from West Virginia, Iowa, and Nebraska. He was ranked as high as the No. 66 recruit in the nation on On3 in November 2024.

The seven-footer had been playing his prep ball at Stateside Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas, while also playing seven games for his native country, Croatia, in the 2024 U18 European Championships, averaging 14.4 points and 5.9 rebounds on 55.2% from the field and even displaying some range, making half of his 14 threes attempted.

He’ll join a talented 2025 recruiting class featuring consensus top-50 recruit Kayden Mingo, wing Mason Blackwood, and fellow big Justin Houser. He and Houser will likely compete to back up Yanic Konan Niederhauser next season, pending his NBA draft status.
