Penn State Baseball Infielder Jake Haarde To Enter Transfer Portal

Penn State baseball infielder Jake Haarde is entering the transfer portal, as revealed on his personal X account on Friday.

The true freshman is the second Nittany Lion to announce their intentions to enter the portal, after fellow Class of 2024 recruit Charles Mau earlier in the week. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

Haarde did not appear in a game with the Nittany Lions, redshirting for the 2024-25 season. The Sudbury, Massachusetts native was the No. 22 player and No. 4 shortstop in his home state coming out of high school, according to Perfect Game. The transfer portal for baseball officially opens on June 2.

Penn State baseball continues its final series of the regular season at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Friday, May 16, at 5:30 p.m. against Xavier.
