Joe Jaconski’s Diving Stop Lands At No. 7 Spot On SportsCenter Top 10

Penn State baseball’s first baseman Joe Jaconski was featured on Saturday’s SportsCenter Top 10 after making a diving stop during yesterday’s win over Xavier. His diving stop was ranked No. 7, and it was the first time this season that the Nittany Lions were featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10.

Jaconski’s diving stop occurred during the top of the first inning as Xavier’s Carter Hendrickson hit a line drive to the first baseman which forced him to make a diving grab. After Jaconski made the diving grab, he flipped the ball to Penn State pitcher, Logan Olson, who managed to get the final out of the top frame.

Penn State will play its regular-season finale against Xavier on Saturday, May 17 as it looks to complete the series sweep on Senior Day. First pitch will take place at 1 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
