Report: Turkish Guard Melih Tunca Commits To Penn State Hoops

Penn State hoops added another player for the 2025 recruiting class on Monday, landing the commitment of Turkish guard Melih Tunca, according to Arman Jovic on X.

Tunca becomes the sixth member of head coach Mike Rhoades’ recruiting class, which entered Monday ranked No. 26 in the nation according to 247Sports, the highest in program history.

The 19-year-old guard averaged 6.4 points and 2.2 assists on 50% from the field and 45.8% from three with Türk Telekom in the Turkish Super League this past season and was a bench fixture on the team’s EuroCup run. He is the second international addition to this recruiting class, following Croatian center Ivan Jurić’s commitment in May.
