Former Penn State Hoops Guard Andrew Funk Joins Philadelphia 76ers Summer League Roster

Former Penn State men’s basketball guard Andrew Funk will suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Summer League, the 76ers announced Tuesday.
Funk averaged 9.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game as a member of the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets’ G League affiliate, during the 2024-25 season. The former Penn State sharpshooter shot 39.1% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range in 33 games.
During his lone season at Penn State, Funk earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors as a graduate student. The Bucknell transfer averaged 12.5 points per game across 37 appearances, shooting 44.4% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range under former head coach Micah Shrewsberry.
Funk’s most recent NBA opportunity came on a 10-day contract with the Denver Nuggets in October 2024, but he was waived following the deal’s expiration.
The NBA Summer League will be played in Las Vegas from July 10-20.
