Bo Nickal Joins Real American Freestyle

Bo Nickal will make his return to wrestling.

After transitioning into MMA in 2021, Nickal announced on Wednesday that he will join the newly created wrestling league, Real American Freestyle. This league is the first unscripted pro wrestling league for the best wrestlers in the world.

After winning three national championships with Penn State, the former Penn State wrestler trained out of State College for Dana White’s Contender Series and then the UFC. In his UFC career, he holds a record of 7-1, with his only loss coming against Reinier de Ridder by way of technical knockout in UFC 256.

The first event of Real American Freestyle will take place on August 30 in Cleveland, Ohio. Nickal could be the first on the card in the history of the new wrestling league as he has hinted that he will face off Jon Jones in his first match.

The Nittany Lion plans to continue fighting in the UFC while in Real American Freestyle.
