Penn State Football No. 4 In National Championship Odds & Drew Allar No. 5 In Heisman Odds By FanDuel

Penn State football has the fourth-best odds to win next season’s national championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Nittany Lions’ +850 odds to win the college football national championship in 2026 sit them just behind Ohio State (+600), Georgia (+600), and Texas (+550).
Penn State’s odds entering last season were +2500, which put them tied with Notre Dame for the No. 10 spot. Both Notre Dame and the blue and white saw major increases to their preseason odds after making the semi-finals in 2025. The Fighting Irish sit at the No. 8 spot this season with +1500 odds.
Outside of the Nittany Lions, two other Big Ten teams made the top 10. Oregon is No. 5 with +950 odds, and Ohio State is tied for the second spot with +600 odds. Michigan finds itself just outside the top ten at the No. 11 spot.
Last season’s national champion, Ohio State, began the year in second place with +500 odds to win it all. Penn State finds itself with slightly worse odds heading into the 2025/2026 season, but with plenty of returning talent, they will be firmly in the national champion conversation all season long.
Drew Allar also received some praise from the sports book, landing at No. 5 in the initial odds list for the Heisman Trophy.
In 2024, Allar started all 16 games for the Nittany Lions, throwing 262-for-394 for 3,327 yards in the air with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also added 302 rushing yards on 96 carries with six touchdowns.
The signal caller decided to return to Happy Valley for his senior season, with many ranking him the No. 1 quarterback in the country, one of the reasons he finds himself with +1400 odds to win college football’s most prestigious award.
Allar is behind only Arch Manning (+700), Garrett Nussmeier (+800), Cade Klubnik (+900), and Jeremiah Smith (+1300).
Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen also find themselves on the list. Both running backs have +30000 odds to win the award.
