Penn State Football’s Enai White Now Playing Defensive Tackle

Penn State football’s Enai White has made the position switch from defensive end to defensive tackle, James Franklin confirmed on Thursday.
Franklin shared that he believes it’s White’s best position long term, as his size will bring the most value to the team.
“I think long term, it’s his best position in terms of being able to play the game as long as he can,” Franklin said. “It’s something that we think can help him and help us.”
The move provides much-needed depth at the defensive tackle position, with Alonzo Ford Jr. recently returning from injury.
White recently transferred to Penn State from Texas A&M in December, with three years of eligibility remaining. He appeared in seven games his first season, recording four tackles and a sack, and only recorded five games in 2023 before a season-ending injury.
He saw the field once after returning from injury before entering the transfer portal.
