Penn State Lady Lions To Visit South Carolina On December 14

Iron sharpens iron.

That was the mentality for the Penn State Lady Lions when it came to building out their non-conference schedule, as it was announced on Saturday the blue and white would be visiting national championship hopeful South Carolina on Sunday, December 14, in Columbia.

South Carolina, coached by the legendary Dawn Staley, has won three national championships since 2017 and two since 2022. They’ve won four consecutive SEC regular-season titles and return two Honorable Mention All-Americans and bring in a Second Team All-American in Florida State transfer Ta’Niya Latson, as well as the No. 4-ranked recruiting class, according to ESPN.

The Lady Lions are looking for a bounce-back campaign after an extremely disappointing season in 2024-25, blowing a strong non-conference performance by going 1-17 in Big Ten play. While they’ll be heavy underdogs heading into this matchup, it’ll prepare them for Big Ten action.
