Penn State Hoops To Host NC Central December 29

Penn State men’s basketball’s non-conference schedule is nearly completed.

The Nittany Lions will play NC Central on December 29 inside the Bryce Jordan Center. NC Central coach LeVelle Moton announced this on Monday when he released the nonconference schedule for his team on X.

This will be the first matchup in program history between the two schools. NC Central, which plays in the MEAC Conference, finished 14-19 last season, including 6-8 in conference play. The MEAC Conference consists of eight teams, including Norfolk State, which made the NCAA Tournament last season.

This is the seventh confirmed game of Penn State’s non-conference schedule, with four more still to be announced. Penn State hoops will square off against Pitt on Sunday, December 21, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Along with Pitt, it is set to have its home opener against Fairfield on Wednesday, November 3.

The blue and white will visit New Haven on November 8 before hosting Boston University and Harvard as part of a multi-team event with dates still to be determined. The Nittany Lions will also play a neutral-site game at the Hall of Fame Showcase on Monday, November 22, against Providence.
