Report: Penn State Hoops To Open Season Against Fairfield At Home

Penn State men’s basketball is set to host Fairfield at the Bryce Jordan Center on November 3 to open its 2025-26 season, per Rocco Miller.

The Nittany Lions are 2-0 against Fairfield all-time, with the most recent matchup coming in 2010, which resulted in a 64-49 win.

Last season, the Stags finished the season 12-20 and finished 10th in the MAAC with an 8-12 conference record. They played just one power-conference opponent, Georgetown, and lost 69-57.

Penn State is coming off a 16-15 season in which it failed to qualify for the Big Ten Tournament, going 6-14 in the conference. The Nittany Lions will feature a class of five freshmen in the 2025-26 season.

Aside from the matchup against Fairfield, Penn State will travel to Connecticut for a non-conference game against Providence, and has also already announced its Big Ten opponents.
