[Photo Story] ‘Be A Part From The Start’ Welcomes Class Of 2029 To Penn State

Welcome to Penn State, Class of 2029!

The incoming first-years made their way over to Rec Hall on Sunday evening for the annual “Be A Part From The Start” pep rally. The newest group of Penn Staters had the opportunity to learn the different chants, how to get involved on campus, and all the traditions Penn State has to offer.

Students were welcomed by energized Lion Ambassadors with shakers in hand. The Class of 2029 slowly filled the the stands of Rec Hall, and excitement brewed as their first weekend at Penn State came to end.

Accompanied by the Blue Band, the cheer team and the Nittany Lion got the crowd going with some chants.

Notable speakers at the pep rally shared words of guidance with the newest Penn Staters, including Coach Rhoades, Coach Guy Gadowsky, and State College Mayor, Ezra Nanes.

Different clubs and sports teams came out to get these first-years excited for the upcoming seasons and introduced them to all the opportunities Penn State has to offer.

The Lionettes kept the good times rolling with a high-energy dance routine that the crowd absolutely loved. Students gave back the same high intensity energy and Rec Hall was booming.

As things winded down, the Blue Band taught the Class of 2029 a couple of dance moves and lyrics to the classic songs they play. To finish things off, everyone joined together and sang the Alma Mater for their first time as Penn State students.
