[Photo Story] Penn State Women’s Hockey 2025-26 Season

The 2025-26 season has officially come to an end at Hockey Valley for Penn State women’s hockey.

The Nittany Lions finished off their season by being crowned AHA champions for a fourth year in a row before losing in the Frozen Four after making it that far for the first time in program history.

Our photographers were at Pegula Ice Arena for every shot on goal, fight, celebration, and all in between. Let’s take a look back at their history season on the ice through the lens of our photographers.

The Nittany Lions finished off their season 36-6 and 22-2 in conference play. The team was undefeated through the first 16 games of the season.

There were 1,505 shots on goal, and 165 of those found the back of the net.

There were many celebrations following those goals.

The goaltenders were on top of their game as well, averaging a .936 save percentage over the course of the season.

Women’s hockey made history by being the first NCAA Division 1 hockey team to be played inside of Beaver Stadium and breaking their home-game attendance record with 1,838 fans in attendance.

The Nittany Lions continued the rest of their season strong, winning the AHA Championship for the fourth year in a row.

The team wrapped up their historic season by making it to the Frozen Four for the first time in program history.

Until next year, Hockey Valley! What a season it was for these Nittany Lions.
