Annual THON 5K Set For October 26

Mark your calendars, folks! It’s not time to dance yet, but State College is ready to run for a cure.

The annual THON 5K race is set to take place on Sunday, October 26, at 11 a.m. The event, sponsored by PNC Bank, will be the first THON event of the 2024-25 school year and those wanting to participate can register here. You must register before September 12 to have the new THON 2026 5K shirt included with your purchase.

Registration for the event runs from $15-$35, depending on the shirt purchased.

The shirts that are available for the 5k include the blue short-sleeve t-shirt and the white performance long-sleeve. Both shirts and runner bibs can be picked up during Runner Number Distribution Week from October 20 through October 24 in the THON Store at the HUB or at the registration table on the day of the event. There will also be food trucks available at the event for folks to purchase food and drinks.
