Penn State Football Remains No. 2 In Week Two AP Poll

Penn State football was ranked No. 2 in the latest AP Poll, the Associated Press announced Tuesday. The Nittany Lions’ ranking remains unchanged after their 46-11 victory over Nevada on Saturday.

The win wasn’t enough to warrant a rise to the top spot. Preseason No. 1 Texas fell to No. 3 Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday, giving the Buckeyes a boost in the rankings to the top position and dropping Texas to No. 7. The rest of the AP top 10 consists of LSU, Georgia, Miami, Oregon, Clemson, Notre Dame, and South Carolina.

The Nittany Lions host Florida International at Noon on Saturday, September 6. The game will air on the Big Ten Network.
